Follow poet, activist, and Pilsen Public Art Tours guide Luis Tubens on an exploration of public art that fights stereotypes about Latinx communities, combats assimilation, and celebrates Mexican culture. This walking excursion through historic and contemporary public art will end with a complimentary drink at our tour guide's favorite neighborhood bar.

  • Please arrive by 5:50 PM (10 minutes early)
  • Tour ends at 7:15 PM with a drink on CHF at Harbees, located right next door to the starting location

This program is made possible by the Sinha Creative Audiences Initative.

Luis Tubens is co-founder of the Pilsen Public Art Tours, an organization that focuses on educating the public on the rich history of Pilsen’s iconic murals. Tubens has also worked for the National Museum of Mexican Art (NMMA) as an educator, and for the government staff of Cook County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia as an Outreach Coordinator.
