In 1999, she was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for her series of columns on the Monica Lewinsky scandal in the Clinton administration. Her most recent book is The Year of Voting Dangerously: The Derangement of American Politics.

David Axelrod, a former senior advisor to President Obama, is director of the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics and host of The Axe Files podcast.
